Hi Guys
After a 180 mile run, when on a dual carriageway exiting roadworks, I put my foot down and nothing significant happened. After much faffing about in the smaller roads, it seems the car is refusing to downshift.
This was OK until I had to stop on the single track road I live on. One I stopped I couldn't engage any gear. Gear stick would move into D and R but car wouldn't move.
Turned my ignition off and on again (what the work boffins call a 'power cycle'... But the rest of us call 'turning it off and on again') and I could select gear and drive.
I have a P0717 fault so reading up says this is probably a conductor plate fault. Anyone on here got any bright ideas.
It was going into the garage for a full inspection and gearbox service next week anyway, so looks like I can add the cost of an Ecu Tuning rebuild into the mix (sent my wife's dsg ecu there and it was back in a couple of days).
