The luggage cover has recently stopped retracting automatically on opening of the rear door. Is there a fuse for this and if so where is it located.

My load cover (211 320 cdi Avantgarde - 2004) also is reluctant. A while ago, it went through a period of not retracting for about 25% of the time. More recently it's worked every time but two days ago (aargh!) it failed to rise. It was only just the once and since then all is OK.

I put this down to the car having some sort of personality and just wanting to show who's the real boss now and again.

I think there's been a few posts about this in the past but I can't recollect any solutions. Certainly mine's not the same as yours which seems to have stopped completely.

I wonder if the electrical contacts on the tailgate are the culprits. Maybe they just need a good clean?

Perhaps someone who's cracked this will let us know.

Yippee! It started working again after a long run out - maybe the battery is at fault.
Boo! Stopped again.
