Hi All,

Looking for advice re replacing cloth seats in my 2002 W211 saloon. I have bought the seats from ebay, W211 2004. Need advice on the following:

Electring connectors on front seats are different:

Loom on old car seat = A211 540 081 and is linked by a long black plastic block which then links to a slim yellow block

New seat has larger yellow block and appears to be a complete unit.

Is there a convertor available?

Also the new rear seats fold but current one is base and fixed unit. I think this can be sorted by some the use of bolts and clamps.

Any advice would be greatfully received, guess I should have done more homework but there you go!

Thanks in advance

Denis

Denis, why not transfer the leather or the seat back and base,,working out the wiring is very hard and time consuming

W211 retro fit

hi Malcolm,

That's a good call thanks and I will think about that for the front seats, is it a relatively simple task?. Any thoughts about the rear seat problem?

Thanks again

I can let you have the instructions for taking all of the seats apart if that would help

Methinks the English Oxford Dictionary needs to annotate the definition of the word 'Help' with "See Malcom (TV) Watford":):)

I have just inherited a 1997 2.5 td elegance and purchased a leather interior to once again ake this car stand out from the crowd.
Any ideas on how to remove the door cards.
