We have another in today - 2004 E270.
Have been quoted £890 +vat for the unit, plus the trivial costs of the pipe, earth strap, clamps and cable tie.
Have been told the usual warranty terms apply - 2 years parts and labour, no more.
They have no idea about the service life of the exchange part, with respect to whether or not it will time out.

Next week it might be a different story - hope so!

Also having lots of people tell me they are only 600 euros from Bosch.
I reply, you supply it and I will fit it.
Noone I know has been able to get supply from Bosch in the UK so far, at anywhere near the advertised price in euros.

As I buy parts from Lancasters at Ipswich however, I need to hear it from them, and they say nope.

It would be extraordinary to get a lifetime's warranty on, well, almost anything really.
I have asked the Member for the definition of ''lifetime'' in this instance but as yet he has not got the paperwork.

As the whole concept of SBC was derived from both Bosch and Mercedes, I wonder if MB did not know what Bosch were planning on these replacement pumps and Mercedes have blocked this all in the UK.
