- Mercedes E55, 2004, 5.4
I've just received a letter from Mercedes noting the following
'We have established that on some cars, the bonding between the glass panel and sliding roof frame may not meet the required specifications. It is therefore necessary to check and, if necessary, replace the sliding sunroof of your car'.
My car, a 2004 E55, is booked in at Mercedes on 11th August for the work completing.
If you have a W211 E Class with a glass sliding roof (mine is not panoramic) it might be worth contacting your MB dealer, quoting ref SRPC2001.
I couldn't believe there would be a recall on a car so old, but there we go. I'll update when the work is done.
