W212 Comand Update

Hi,

Ive got a 2010 E350 Estate with NTG4 Comand system; please could anyone advise if you can update the Comand system via Xentry now? MB only make a disc until 2018 and the sat nav is quite out of date now. If I can update via Xentry then hopefully I can get it fully up to date.

the maps are not the same update as the comand system update....

unless a very late 2010 I think u just missed out on BT music streaming that can end up on some cars after a big comand software (OS) update
you should get 7 digit postcode entry though (that comes with the comand update - its NOT the maps)
if you are saying you can't find later maps will I find them via xentry - I expect NOT

Suggest you contact comand.co.uk (forum sponsors) with your VIN, what you know of your existing system and what you want to achieve, they will give you chapter and verse about what is available and what you need.

I shall try & contact them. @Botus my system does have Bluetooth audio and I have updated it to the latest maps MB do on the disc (2017-2018 I believe it is). I have looked at a WIS document and apparently you can use a USB stick on some models but not sure if that applies to mine or not? I can plug a USB into the media interface but not sure whether that’s how you do it or not

merc don't do USB system updates on anything old, the whole idea is 10 year late coming to merc

2018 is the last available update to the maps, I’ve got the same issue, no way to update the mapping any other way than with the disks

I have a late 2011, and have just settled with using my phone for maps on a holder.
The other option I toyed with was getting android auto installed by e.g. comandonline, but it's in the £500 region and I only use maps a handful of times a year.

I’ve toyed with that too, but for the amount of times I actually use the nav I can’t really justify the spend, maybe in a couple more years but for the moment if I’m on a road it doesn’t know exists I just use my nose and normally get it pretty right
