W212 E200 CDI wont rev over 3000rpm

Hello!
I have a Mercedes W212 E200 CDI wagon from 2012 and sometimes when I drive , it drives fine for 10-15 minutes but then it won’t kickdown nor rev over 3000rpm.
I was thinking that it could be the MAF sensor and thought about removing the sensor then taking it for a test drive, but I can’t seem to find where the sensor is.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need the fault codes read, otherwise you're just guessing and that's opening a massive bill

Welcome Remo. Get it to a Mercedes Specialist garage with Star diagnostics, if possible. Your profile doesn't show your whereabouts. If you say which area you're living in, someone may be able to recommend a good Indie. As Cowley St James has already said, throwing parts at these cars is a costly & often fruitless exercise.

As above and if you start unplugging stuff it will put false fault codes in the ecu making it more time consuming to diagnose.

I Need correcting. If maf disconnected. Does the motor not run on a stored map?
If so and car runs OK. Does that not point to issues with maf? And or relevant wiring
