How long are your drives? If they are short, a DPF regen might not complete.

When it's doing one of these higher revs things, are you able to extend the drive for another 20mins or so, and ideally use a manual mode to keep rpm around the 2.5k-3k mark?

^ As above when you see the rpm rise to 800rpm at tickover and hear the exhaust note change run the car till the DPF regeneration completes I always do nowadays as a I’m retired obviously more difficult if you commute with the car

I did a manual regen on Xentry last night and then I got an EML on & Traction control etc etc the signal voltage for Component B37 Accelerator Pedal is defective the signal is too high again.. I found in actual values that the throttle was going outside the specified value when on full kickdown.. so I l changed the pedal also last night and cleared the faults down; it didn’t idle high again after that until this morning when I put the heater on but as soon as I turn it off again it drops to 600. Is this normal? Plugged Xentry in today and I got a Current & Stored fault in MFK which says ‘The output for window heating has a malfunction. There is an open circuit. I can’t see this making the idle any different but could this just need the MFK calibrating?

What battery did you fit I only buy Varta or Bosch (OEM)?
@malcolm210 Fitted Genuine MB Battery as I work for Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van so genuine often works out cheaper for me anyway

Here are my DPF readings before doing a regen via STAR. The DPF pressure sensor has since been changed and taught in, and Engine & Gearbox software I updated yesterday, however it is still regenerating almost everyday. I have worked out that it does a regen by itself every 80 or so miles. Idle will go up to 800, engine sounds totally different, and it’ll hold its gears for a hell of a lot longer. Any suggestions? 09AC79CD-138B-4546-A85B-BE9D22A0EA1E.jpeg 528834DE-73FF-446E-ABFE-508ED74915A9.jpeg

Hello all,

Got an E350 CDI that seems to be idling at 800rpm instead of 600rpm ONLY WHEN CLIMATE CONTROL IS ON! When I plugged it into the Xentry I got Component ‘B37’ (Accelerator Pedal Sensor) is defective. At the time, the EML & ESP warning lights had just come up. Both with faults relating to this Component B37 Pedal Sensor. But I do not know why this would make it idle higher than it should do. I’m aware that this is common on the E350’s. The vehicle doesn’t get used very often at all if helps. It also has a jerk/flutter/misfire when driving and at approx 1500rpm but I think that is the fault with the defective accelerator. Any help appreciated thanks!

Hello and welcome,

As per the advice to the OP, what age and condition is your battery in?

Either your boost pressure has problems ---> soot content drives up quickly, or injector peeing/not giving enough fuel. What are correction values of injectors, idle test in xnetry, compression pressure test, boost test...

Hi,

No I never solved it, changed nearly everything including DPF still regenerates everyday. Had various technicians from MB on it and everybody has literally given up now so I’ve just got to live with it. It’s horrible as when it idles high the downshifting from 2-1 when pulling up at a traffic light is deadly and pulling off shudders like there’s no tomorrow when idling high. I don’t know the solution and I don’t think anybody else does to ge honest; we have all tried, in the forum & at MB
