Hi All, I recently purchased a 2016 E220 AMG Line E Class with 63k on the clock from a dealer.

The MOT it had before sale failed it for excessive brake wear which was rectified by new front pads/discs and rear pads. The rear discs look well worn but no obvious wear indicator showing so probably still in tolerance?

It also mentioned handbrake not offering enough force (or something like that).

The footbrake still has literally no effect at all and when i'm parking up it's parked on the gear box. When starting up on an incline the car makes an obvious clunk when engaging gear, on the flat it's fine.

Will this stop when the handbrake is adjusted and is it an expensive job to tighten handbrake?

The parking brake is adjusted by turning a knurled nut inside the rear disk.
Take off a rear wheel and turn the disk until you can see the knurled nut. Turn it until the disk won't turn and then back it off a quarter turn or so until the disk will just turn.
There are many Youtube videos with instructions and examples.
