Looking for info
W212 .220cdi. 2010reg.
On either end of the fuel rail is a sensor.
On the w211 one sensor can be changed and the other one is fixed to the rail and if it fails must be bought complete with the rail.
So on the w212 is one fixed like on the w211 or can they both be changed without replacing the rail
Thanks in anticipation for any help

Neither is fixed. MB just won't sell them separately. You can change another from breakers/2nd hand, or some vendore may sell compatibe parts ij just search by part number. Are you having some issues?

The codes that came up were. P008700.. P062a00. Also.
254100 pressure sensor. Low pressure. Fuel circuit. Short circuit..
Trying to see part numbers.
Having difficulty because of plaggy ducting over top of loom
Haven't tried moving it yet.
are you saying its possible to screw them both off.
Is the one on the front the pressure sensor. If so is the one on the back by the firewall called the fuel regulator

I HAVE not disassembled 2010--> rail but so far sensor and pressure regulators have always been separate parts and not 'sealed for life', MB just decided to increase after sale profit by modulizing that part. You might see Bosch part number in them if no mercedes part numbers. Yes sensor front, regulator rear.

Check sensor is working, then low pressure can be due to anything, fuel quantity valve fault is more common than regulator failure. And let's not forgot injector leak possibility.

One the end of the rail one one side is the quality control valve, on the other end is the rail pressure sensor.

The quantity control valve is on the HP pump at the back of the engine.
