Could it be that the AdBlue system in my car was programmed by the previous owner, and now, for some reason, it's throwing an error? I keep clearing the error, and I've already driven about 2,000 km without any notifications that you have left a certain distance before engine not start. The AdBlue level displayed on the dashboard is gradually decreasing."

GOOD NEWS!

ITS FIXED.

Checked on STAR and the pump started and i could see the graph of the pump.! compared to when it stopped working. the previous pump did not start and the graph did not go up.

Thank you to all who have helped and provided valuable feedback.

I would love to learn more as and when the problem comes :)

I have been told that cam shaft and etc are also problematic, so will look into those as well.
Great to see you fixed it. Mine has just started its count down!!! Been told it’s the pump and like yourself new tank !@# 2017 model also. Looking a going the route you have before deleting adblue system. Just one question tho, did the pump need coding in or was it just plug and play?
If plug and play I’m thinking of swapping it out myself

Where did you get it checked from? Do you know which pump are you after? There are two types of tanks and both have different pumps.

I believe after the pump is changed it should be plug and play. But good to test the pump after fixing it. And when fixing it, also get the codes cleared.

By testing the pump i mean checking from the Star system whether the pump is working.

Good luck and keep us updated of how it goes!

Thanks for your reply. I had it checked at an independent specialist (MSL Birmingham), who cleared the codes and switched the engine management light off. I was advised it was the pump at fault but not given the codes. Re which pump, not sure yet, will take the tank out and have a look.
Like yourself, I’m more than happy to take the gamble on a pump swop before deleting system. Will keep you posted on how it goes

Why take out the whole tank?
Where will you buy the pump from? There are two types of pumps, see the thread, do you know which type of pump you are after?
