W213: e220d model - adding a bass subwoofer in the boot

hi, has anyone added a big bass subwoofer in the boot, is it hard to do, is it possible to get the Mercedes branded one or is that a bad idea ?

Very straightforward to do, especially if the battery is in the boot.

Make sure the sub you get can accept input from a speaker terminal if your head unit doesn't have sub out.

I Have added an amplifier and sub to both my last two E class cars (W211 and C207) I used JL Audio components (because of compact size and great sound). £600 fitted at local Sextons audio. Very impressed with the results
