Hey Guys,
Quick question. How much oil is going into W215 CL600 M275 end of 2002 facelift model? In the WIS it is saying it is either 1.6L or 1.9L.
1.6L is going into Rear Axle Differential 240mm in rear axle differential 240V
1.9L is going into Rear Axle Differential 240mm in rear axle differential 240FE

Solved, oil needs to reach the edge of the filling cap.

Make sure you undo the fill plug before the drain plug !!

I'd check if it LSD or not

with the park brake off and the rear wheels in the air,

if you turn one rear wheel and its easy to turn, and the other wheels goes the opposite direction is a normal nasty "open" diff
if you do the same and it hard to turn and the other wheel goes the same way, its got a proper limited slip diff and it will need a different special oil
- highly likely the different quantities are either different brand, casing or LSD vs normal diff

Did know the bit about the proper limited slip diff.
