w220 battery

    just a quickie , 2001 s320cdi goes through batteries like clockwork every 30 months , is this normal?

    I replaced the original battery after 8 years of daily use.

    check your output on the regulator on the alternator may be higher than normal, but a battery should last more than a couple of years

    Don't most batteries have a longer warranty period than 30 months.
    I think the battery on my S class is about 4 years old and still in perfect working order

    You need to check the charging voltage, should be around 14 volts with engine running, cheap own make/label batteries are hit and miss
