Can anyone tell me how to access the boot when the battery has gone (nearly) flat? I suspect there's just enough power for the anti-theft device to work as there a clicking noise coming from the engine bay when I open the car with the emergency key. In addition there's a light flashing on a switch with a 'window' sign on it...don't know what this does. The emergency key won't open the boot (has done previously) and the bonnet release doesn't appear to work either. In addition, the car's locked in 'park' and the ignition key won't turn from position '0'.

Thanks in advance.

It took the AA man 15 mins and plenty of moaning to open mine last time the battery was flat. He had to trickle feed if from "some thing" in the engine bay.
There is not point in the engine bay to put the jump leads on. Don't fiddle your self it could work out very expensive.

Your boot should unlock though it could be stiffer to turn as no vacuum.

if you cant, remove the near side front wheel arch cover and join 12volts up to the bib lead on the starter

Take you key out when doing this
