Hi everyone, I recently bought a 2002 S320 Cdi from the auction. The car had a light interior flood up , the water level was up to the base of the seats. I took the seats, carpets, airvents, etc out and now (3 weeks later) everything is nice and dry. All the electronic control boxes have been replaced, seat motors dimantled and cleaned, connectors cleaned and dried. Also I took the big round multiplug which goes to the gearbox and cleaned that too. The box is not contaminated with water and the oil appears to be right colour. The engine starts and transmission has drive BUT it seems like it stuck in sports mode, it wont change up until redline and wont go into overdrive gear. Also I have following faults come up on the display: BAS, EPC, ASR, ABS. Does is look like it needs a reset, or it could be something else like a speed sensor?
Sorry for such a long 1st post.

You will have to get the fault codes read out, as all of those faults point to a speed signal missing.

Welcome to the forum, getting the fault codes read out will save you a lot of time

update:
OSR speed sensor was disconnected, so I've reconnected that and went for a test drive. In first couple of munutes the gears were changing and everything worked ok, after I parked up and re-started the engine it went into limp mode again (gears not changing) After searching the forum relating to the similar problems I went to the stealer and bought and fitted a new brake lights switch, that didn't solve anything.
Today the car was put on the diagnostic (not Star) and came up with this fault P0703 (Brake switch circuit malfunctioning/wiring/brake switch/ECM/PCM/TCM) plus I have the BAS,ESP, EPC lights on:confused:

The problem is now sorted, both rear abs sensors were faulty, as soon is i've changed them (£150 a pair) the bas/esp light went away and the box is now changing gears as normal:D
