W220 S-Class Audio Options

Hopefully If all goes well I will be picking up a 2000 S 430 in January to replace my 1996 E280. (Havent told my wife yet!)
Anyway I was happy enough to replace my old Mercedes Tape Unit in my E class with a decent MP3/DVD Player.
My new Merc has however the standard Mercedes Sat Nav unit.-- Dont want to start ripping this out!!
Several Questions!
Can this play DVDs with wave files burnt on?
Can anything can be done to allow MP3 to be played?
Do Sat Nav Update CDs have to be bought from Mercedes or is there a cheaper (Free??) source???

Dont think that you can play DVD until 2004 on
There is an aux input for anything of your choice.
No free disc but some on Ebay or Alfie.

Unfortunately cannot play DVD on the Comand 2.5 fitted to the 2000 model as it is a CD based system.

Updated Sat Nav discs are available but not cheap (free). E Bay do have second hand discs but check they have not been copied as quite a few of these don't work. Wait till you get the car and see what disc is in, quite a few of us have updated and may have an old disc which is newer than yours.
