W221 350cdi ECU immobilizer question.

I need to replace the ECU on my car. I have purchased a used one from a slightly new model. I have matched the ECU part numbers and wanted to know the location of Immobilizer eeprom as I will to swap them over.
Are there any wizzards out there that can help ?

on an EDC17 ecu the eeprom is inside the flash.. Which is a Tricore processor..

You will need it Virginising and then Drive authorisation teaching with STAR..

Hi Mark, thank you for your prompt reply. Can you recommend a company, in the south west, that can clone the replacement ecu.
