Lesson learnt. Mb discs made of chocolate so you keep going back quality is a mythHaving done a good few miles since fitting now, these new ECP sourced Brembo discs and pads show no signs of issue like the previous original MB front discs were. These new ones give the car a positive pedal feel that it’s never had before and the braking performance is exactly how I would expect now.
So to conclude;
1 . MB centres claims that it’s to do with the car doing low miles, living outside and all that nonsense is disproved. The fact that the rear genuine MB brakes subjected to the same time, use and conditions are fine!
2. MB centre ruled out any issues with callipers etc.
3. These new aftermarket discs and pads do not have any of the concerning wear the previous genuine set had immediately, let alone by this stage.
So I conclude that this proves, the genuine MB front discs and pads that MB centre fitted last time round are of unsuitable/dangerous quality!
I think I may still have time to make an official case as it’s black and white and perhaps get some £££ back. I’ll see if I can find any spare time over Xmas.
