Good afternoon,

I have done a general search and cannot find a guide for the w221. I am after removing all of the plastic trims around the seat bases of both front seats so I can grease the rails and pack the trims with felt to help prevent the constant creaking. I have worked out the 3 panels towards the front its the ones around the seat belt anchor I am struggling with..
Can anyone offer any guidance?

Many thanks

The creaking drives me insane too. Many of the people who have done this have found cracked seat frames, which is apparently common. I will look it up for you when I get a second.

Thanks, do you know where these cracks occur exactly? Are they easy to spot?

Thanks

Only anecdotal reports with people having dealers replace the seat frames under warranties.

My passenger side front does it, but only when certain people sit in it! Ha! Will look it up on wis but suspect access to seat frames will involve removing everything.

Ah ok thanks, well I won’t be going down that road anyway, will try packing the plastic trims anyway as it can’t hurt.

Thanks
