Hi,
I'm new here having just acquired a 2009 B200 Cdi SE.
Using the instructions in the owner's manual, I have tried to activate a number of optional settings within the settings menu, i.e. interior lights to come on when doors open, and when ignition is turned off. I cannot get them to work. Yet the lights themselves work when the appropriate manual button is pushed. I cannot see any door switches on the door reveal or door edges though, so am at a loss as to how the circuit is activated. The button in the overhead console I have tried in both the 'in' and 'out' positions; makes no difference.

Equally, I've tried to activate the folding mirrors to automatically fold/unfold when the car is locked/unlocked but again, no deal. Manual operation of the fold button folds the mirrors.

Does anyone have any ideas what is happening here and why - more importantly, how I can solve the issue? Other setting menu functions are working ok as selected, e.g. external lights permanently on when ignition on etc.

The car has a fixed glass panel sunroof in the roof - a panorama (as opposed to panoramic) sunroof? It is not openable either manually or electrically as there are no mechanisms or buttons. The glass panel is flush with and sealed to the roof with a rubber seal which itself is set into a 'reveal'. None of it looks like an aftermarket addition - the roof lining is shaped and contoured to accommodate the two cassette sun blinds that roll in/out from each end of the panel on the inside. The rear cassette will not retract properly, and I cannot find anything anywhere on how to tackle this. Does anyone have any experience with one of these sunroofs and solving the issue I have?

I think with all those issues I'd be taking it to a local MB indie and getting the systems looked at on STAR. Otherwise you could be chasing faults for ever,
