W247 AMG B200 (2020), A160 (2009) CLK270 (2005) SL230 Pagoda (1964, long gone)
If I had a 2020 AMG B with tyres 225/45/18 which need soon to be replaced (with pairs of either front or back or all four) is it possible to change them for:
a) 205/55/18 and b) will they give a smoother ride and c) is it a good idea?
Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Depends on the wheel width

A 205/55 will have the same sidewall as a 225/45 so there will be no difference in ride

The only way to make the ride better is to go for smaller wheels with larger profile tyres.

You could use a lower "Load Rating" so if yours are a "94Y" you could go for a "91Y"

Always put the new tyres on the rear
