Hello all,
My 2012 Viano suddenly decided to stop producing any sound on any functions of the Command APS system. The system boosts up as normal and all functions seem to be working but there's no tone. I didn't have any issues with it before this happened.
Did some research online and I seem to see other MB variants with similar sound issues where they mention that the Fibre Optics cables that lead to the amplifier is where normally the problem lies.m Unfortunately, I can't find anything on my model. I am reluctant to take the vehicle to the dealership especially if its something I can fix myself (quite handy myself).
I have dismounted the Command unit, to try and trace any faults, but can't see where the wiring loom leads to and just wondered if anyone has had this happen to them before and what the resolve was.
Also, if it is the Fibre Optic issue, I understand that these can be bridged in the amplifier? If so, could anyone point me to where the amplifier is hidden please?
Many thanks for your anticipated help and kind regards.
Merry Christmas!
