hi all,
though this may be for sprint'n'go and friends:) i have changed the motorhome and have now got one on an '01 416 chassis - woohoo:D:cool:. i have found that the steering needs constant ajdustment whilst driving, the last one a '98 312 held a nice stable line and was like driving a car - though somewhat larger:). wheels are the same size though tyres are 195's instead of 225's and it has twin wheels at the rear, it is also slightly taller and a foot longer though i don't think this should make much difference.

any ideas welcome

I had the same issue on my car although not as severe, a full laser geometry alignment fixed it. Worth checking the suspension first though for wear and tear.

I agree wheel alignment and geometry check, but one word of advice is ensure that your front wheel bearings are correct. I had a alignment done and it was maginally better steering in a straight line but still followed every rutt in the road till I adjusted both front wheel bearing as they were loose. Hope this helps.

You've probably already done so - but it's worth checking the rear tyre pressures are OK. I drove a twin-wheeled Transit  many years ago and found it was much more stable with a couple of extra pounds in the rear tyres even when not loaded.
