WANNABE MERC owner, (SL 320 or 500 ) some advice required please

Hi all ;)

i am just about to purchase an sl 320 or maybe an sl 500, just wanted a bit of advice on what to look for when buying one of these.

my budget is upto £11000

sorry for my ignorance  but do they do manual gearboxes in this model or are they all auto's, as most appear to be autos.

also what are the fuel consumption difference between the 2, as i am planning on using it for a daily drive, a commute of 45miles a day.

You will get a few more answers later.
All automatic, in town the 320 will return 25mpg 33mpg on a run and the 500 22-24mpg 30mpg on a run. 320 nice lively car, 500 much more fun.
Do make sure that every thing works.

any more information/tips would be greatly appreciated, as am going to get one or at least look for one this weekend

I commute to work on a 50/50 split between motorway and A and B roads about 45 miles a day.
