I have an Audio 10 cd player (MF2910) in my '96 S420. The manual doesn't mention speed dependent volume control except in the wiring description where it identifies the wire. Can this feature be activated in my car? With this radio? How to do it? Thanks.

You need to look at the back of the radio if you have a wire connected to pin 1 on block A
If you want a complete description of the wiring at the back of the radio have a look here: www.beckerelectronics.com/1492.html

The speed sensor wire should be at the back of the ISO radio connector and the colour is Black/Yellow/Red dots

Yes, the wire is there and I've checked it with a vom. It appears to have a signal present when moving. Could this be something that requires programming with the dealer's computer?

It's worth asking the dealer but if it does not mention "Speed depending volume control" in the manual, it is possible that it's not a feature on this radio. I know there is a maintenance menu on the radios, but I don't know how to access it on this model(MF2910).
