Want to DIY Install a Head Unit for W639 2004 for My Wife

My wife own the Benz W639 2004, the head unit in it is almost useless. I'd like to DIY upgrade it and give her a surprise. Personally I am very impressed with the UI of PBX70M203, the UI looks really cool. Do you think it is a unit for my wife?

A quick google and the unit looks ok, Hoorses for courses, if you think she will like and it makes her happy then do it.

Rather give her some flowers and chocolates?

Yes the spec is good.
The install will be easy enough.

I've only installed into the later 639, the only difference I can see is the HU surround, yours is the rounded type later it became squared. I don't know if the later surround (post 2006) would fit the early 639. If so you might be able to fit the 9" screen HU of similar spec.

Octa core with 4 gig ram is the important spec, and hope for a bright screen. The internal memory of 64 gig in unnecessary imo, as if you fill it finding whatever in the mass would be difficult, but you don't have to fill it.

My partner gifted me a XTRONS radio last Christmas. TBH, it is the best gift i have ever received in the last 5 years, after so many chocolates and flowers. Don't really remember the model number, it is for W639 2012. It is already great out of the box, with nice packaging, decent unit inside. What makes this unit quite spectacular and one of the best head units is the customization options you have in adjusting the audio and the unique user interface. Compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls. It’s user-friendly and designed to last for a great many years! One thing i don't like is, menus and display are hard to read under sunshine, even i adjust the brightness. Anyway,XTRONS is an excellent choice and upgrade to your car stereo.
