Warning light panick!

Hi I have a couple of probs with my 99' C220cdi (done 150k miles)any help much appreciated.

1st is my preglow lamp has begun illuminating for a couple of minutes after the engine has been started, are my glowplugs shot?

2nd I have fitted aftermarket 17inch alloys with 225/45 tyres. the steering seems to wander all over the place even after replacing the entire steering linkage side to side and having tracking reset. any ideas?

3rd after replacing brake pads and disks all round plus front bearings (eurocarparts bits) i still get a nasty grumbling noise from the front end when braking to a halt. seems to go away for a while if i remove the pads and roughen them up\clean them.

easy ones first :-

heater plug light staying on indicates a faulty heater plug you can trace the one plug or at that mileage i would change them all.

Wandering with 17" alloys - check all the joints particularly ball joints and rubber bushes if all ok have A full geo check done.

Noise from front is due to a brake residue on the disc and pads replace both and all will be quite, sounds like you have a heavy left foot
