warning lights on dash?

hi there just thought id ask a question?
on the way to castle combe on saturday the ABS,BAS and ASR lights lit up on the dash, the car lost all power, but when i put it into park turned it off the back on then into dirve it was ok?
then on the way back it seemed to not want to kick up and at 70mph it was revving to 5500 rpm.sounded like it drove back in 3rd gear?
has anyone had this problem before?
i drive a c240 elegance estate 1999 with 65.k on the clock, not long had a service and new front and back pads?
please help, and is it likely to be expensive?

With a bit of luck it should be the brake light switch, that when it goes wrong it kills the speed signal so that the gearbox does not know what to do.

£9 to buy and easy to fit above the brake pedal

sound just like what happened to mine i also needed a new abs sensor

well ive replaced the switch but the light s are still on, am i right in presuming to disconnect the battery for a while to reset the fault?

I would do a fault readout before I replace anything!

been and had a fault check and its a abs sensor o/s rear and they also found the n/s o23 sensor !!! been to merc will cost £190 for the both of them, so went to gsf and can have them both for £100 !! bit of a diffference ?

replaced the abs sensor and the lights went out . so all sorted till i get the o2 sensor..
