hi all well basically after the dreadful weather of snow i found that on my dash the-low washer and coolant lights kept appearing on.so topped both up and still stayed on.so under further investigation i found that i was missing the left side 'plate'which stops stones etc coming into the engine.to add i had some wires and looms had basically dropped and was hanging loooooowwwww...my left fog light loom had totally dissappeared althogeva.

fist course of action was to cable ties the low wires so it doesnt catches anything while driving.

hopefully get another fog loom..but from where?

was wondering could this be main source of my problems bearing in mind the car stills pulls well, because i have heard that silly things can trigger of any lights in these cars ( mb c200 coupe)

thanks guys:rolleyes:

If a 202 you can get from a breaker, all of the washer loom is at that point on the car

These things are car specific so must be from a 203

Not sure on the 170 but some like the 202 it is connected to the washer bottle, either that or the sensor is playing up

Not sure about MB but I've had plenty Volvo's which had a dodgy coolant cap which causes the coolant light to come on even tho there is plenty in,something to do with the pressure, but a new cap sorted it out each time.

Thank you - i will go down to MB dealer tomorrow to get one... are you sure its the cap as that sounds to good to be true??

If it is a sensor? where are they located? sounds like a daft question i guess...

Thank you for your responses
