Hi All
My Wife has been away all week in the E320 CDi. When I spoke to her last night, she tells me that now every time she starts it from cold, she gets a warning that "Convenience functions are not available" but the car is starting without problems. I do know that this warning may appear in really severe weather conditions, but is it meant to show up every time? If not, is the battery suspect ? we only bought the car 2 months ago, so if so, we will need to contact the dealer.......
Thanks.

If the car is only getting used for short runs, then it can happen, in the cold weather with all of the heating components on. The 211 like the 230 does need to have the rear battery topped up once a month with a good charge.

If in doubt, take the cat to a battery center, (Bosch,Exide Lucas) where they can test.

If the battery is 4 or more then it could be on the way out, but you never know
