Its a C36 that I've got, pretty much a rust free example, except for the boot that is!
All the rust is around the number plate and the boot lock. I took the car to a MB bodyshop, they took pix and did a report. A few weeks later an answer came back from MB, 'no the rust wasn't covered under warrantee'.
The reason I took it to MB in the first place was that a pal of mine has a '98 CLK, exactly the same boot shape, with exactly the same rust pattern, he managed to get all the damage fixed under warrantee. Quoting the lifetime corrosion protection.
So what are peoples thoughts on this matter?
