I'm pleased to report that, under new ownership, Warranty Direct are again selling warranties direct to the public.

Has anyone yet compared the 2021 Warranty Direct terms with those which applied in 2020 & earlier please?

2005 C270CDi Avantgarde Estate. Bought 2005, sold 2022.
The original founder sold up some years ago, in a couple of stages. I used them for some years and they were fine (but I think I have a proper understanding of how these things work, unlike many whose expectations of this kind of warranty are way off) but they changed abruptly when he finally left. He runs MotorEasy now,

Warranty Direct was founded in 1997 by David and Duncan McClure Fisher who sold their majority stake in the business in April 2008, to a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Assurance, in the United Kingdom, Cardif Pinnacle, who purchased the remaining shares, in July 2013.

In January 2021 the WD was taken over by FirstBaseFM Ltd..

As has been stated Duncan Mcclure Fisher the founder of Warranty Direct subsequently went on to found MotorEasy.

It would be nice to see a comparison of the terms offered by WD in 2021 & those offered by MotorEasy.

BUMP - has anyone experience of taking out a new policy or renewing an existing policy with Warranty Direct this year?

mioba - Thanks.

I have, of course, been through the TC&Cs it's actual experience I'm after.

It's reported elsewhere that they declined to quote for an SL350 (R231) with only 31.5 k miles !

I don't have much to say overall but just in case this is helpful..

Here is a snapshot of the terms and conditions taken from the website in November 2020, which will be useful in comparing to current terms.

Hope it helps somewhat..
