https://www.warrantydirect.co.uk/ seem to have stopped selling policies direct to the consumer:-

"We are no longer selling new policies directly to customers but the business remains open for existing customers.

If you have an existing policy enquiry, we will of course continue to support you"


Interesting; I have two current polices with them one on my SL350 & one on a Discovery 4.

I had an estimate from them a few years back and I definitely thought they wanted too much £! Needless to say, I didn't progress it any further...
- They nagged me with follow up emails for about 3 weeks.

I tried Warrantywise (from Quentin Wilson) and similarly I thought it was far too much.

Like you Dave I don't bother with extended Warranty's. I only buy very low mileage cars and so far it has served me well as I have never had a problem with any of my MB's. The only exception was on my last MB where I had a problem with a speed sensor. Now that cost me a bit over £100, if that was to be paid for by an Extended Warranty that would have cost me lord knows what. Cheaper to keep your money in your pocket by a very wide margin in my view. :)

Apart from griping about his erstwhile team, it doesn't really say very much which is not all that surprising. Nobody ever considers those who take the reins when they leave are good enough!
