Mercedes dealers are keen to make money any way they can , at the moment. Particularly, they need to keep the workshops busy. My local MB dealer - MB Chelsea (which is in Wandsworth) - are advertising and offering to check if any warranty work is outstanding on a vehicle !!!!
The dealer is reimbursed for warranty work by Daimler (Chrysler) or whatever they are calling themselves today, BUT at a considerably lower rate than the customer charge-out rate. Hence, a dealers usual reluctance to push warranty claims. Why have a car on the ramp at say £45 per hour when you can make £95 ?
I have not checked with any other dealers yet, but in the current climate, warranty work is better than no work. Now is the time to claim for that rusty 210.
