Washer Fluid low W203

Hi guys, went into car today and the message "Check Washer Fluid" came up as a malfunction. I filled the washer bottle last week and since then havent used the car. I have checked water level in header tank and its ok. Switching off the ignition does not reset the message..........any ideas thanks Derek

It could be that the float sensor has failed, I had to replace the one in my W210. A resistance test on the float sensor should tell if it's working or not.
