Hi,
The car manual says that I need to be careful what washer fluid I use in the car as the wrong one could damage the plastic lenses on my LED lights.
1. Is this true?
2. What alternatives are there to the MB Summer/WinterFit fluid, or should I really just buy this>
Thanks

I'd just buy a recognised brand. Aside from the perceived damage to lenses, cheap screen wash has a tendency to form algae inside the washer bottle & clog the system up.

I have for years, used the MB summer/ winter fit and have never had a problem. I usually ask for a bottle when I make a purchase at the parts counter and being nice guys they give me a bottle. I do buy the odd one or two too..

MB screen wash is pretty damn good. Also since the tanks are huge, its unlikly you will need another bottle between services.

I use Sonax screenwash and their Winter screenwash in colder conditions. Small bottle big dilution ratio.
