The 208 is one of the better cars re the water/air intake baffle with just the one pipe, the main pipe is the heater box drain 545 in the bottom picture that needs to be clear.

You were too late to edit out the address, a mod can do it for you

Hi everyone, iv'e noticed what seem to be 2 drainage hoses in the upper part of the rear of the boot, 1 on each side. However i can't see how the water drains into these hoses, so i can check their not blocked. Any information?
Thanks.

On my 230 theres two drains either side of the boot, so four in total!. Theres a fixed drain either side at the front of the bottom of the C pillar which I think is 200 in Malcolms drawing.

Theres a second drain either side at the back of the bottom of the C pillar where the rear glass joins the C pillar. These are flexble corrugated pipes that fold up when the roof is down. One of mine is kinked so although it lets water through its likely to block easily.

All four need to be cleared to stop water build up and "over flow" into the boot if the seal channels get flooded.

try using some curtain wire and feed it down the holes, then flush with running water...this usually does the job of clearing any debris

Hi Philedge, thats exactly what i've got 2 flexable hose, but i can not find the hole where the water drains into them. Any ideas would be grateful.

If you follow the flexible pipes up to the rubber seal you should be able to find the drain hole in the bottom of the seal channel. You might need to partly open the roof to see them. Dont forget the other two further round the drain channel towards the front of the car on on either side

I have a 2007 W216 with 60,000 miles. I have been trying to figure out an unpleasant odour coming from the heating system. Today I was checking the drains and noticed in the air intake box for the heater, the rubber valve diaphragm at the bottom was missing and the hole and lower pipe did not quite line up. Can anyone help with what part I need.
