I've just noticed a fair amount of water coming in by the pedals of my 2001 Y reg S320 CDi. I've had a look under the bonnet and cleared out as many leaves and gunk as possible from the driver's side but it is very difficult to access the gunk that has built up there.

I've tried to research the topic before posting but most messages I can find seem to complain of the passenger's side rather than the driver's side getting wet. I took the top of the unit on the passenger's side under the bonnet but couldn't find anything there.

Greatly appreciate help, would I best to post a pic of the underbonnet of the car so someone can let me know which area to concentrate on/what can be removed to access what's causing the blockage?

Many thanks in advance

footwell water

hi
i think most owners at one time or another have debris in the drain holes around the wipers. i use a piece of wire to poke down the holes and then a hose pipe,if this dose not work, warm water has worked with stuborn silt.

Remove the grill in front of the screen and clear the drain in the bottom of the air intake box.
