Water Leak - 1972 280SE

My baby's been embarrasing me lately, by ****ing water onto the road when she get's warm. She doesn't dump the whole contents of the rad but does seem to lose a pint or three after a short journey (I'm avoiding long journeys). I've tightened all the hoses and I don't think the leak is coming from the rad itself. If anything it looks like the leak is coming from behind where the radiator fan is mounted. Are there any known weak points here, gaskets etc? I need to tackle this at the weekend.

It could be the water pump. If its leaking water in the amounts described it shouldn't take to long to track it down.

Hi Simon

You probably have this sorted by now - but if not have a look at other recent posts on this - my 'intermittent' leak was in fact the rad after all.
