Morning!
'87 230te or banger to those who know it has a very wet osf footwell. It seems to be coming from the centre of the car, as the tunnel on that side is wet. Scuttle drains are clear, so that really leaves the 'screen seals.Right? Main worry is obviously the wireing in the centre dash and console. are there any known leaks, or will it be a new 'screen and seal? Thanks people!

I cant remember the construction exactly, but you do have the heater box and air in takes, they should have a drain somewhere.

Thanks for the replies.
To start, the matrix is okay, as the water is gin clear and tastes okay[the water not the gin!] As for the drains, I'm not sure if you mean the two drains in the corners of the 'screen or the one in the middle by the fresh air intake for the heater. I've checked these and they're clear to the point where they'll take a watering can of water and stream clear. Anyone know if there are any other drains and where?
Checked the hoses to the heater and they're dry and there doesn't seem to be any tracking of water along them, so i'm at a bit of a loss as to where the water is tracking along and how it's getting down the side of the tunnel.
