Nigels problem promted me to put this in.....
Now that the winter is upon us check your jacking points under your merc 124 models.
If the rubbers are worn or cracked or gone replace them because water and salts get into the door sills and then into the footwells. On some models that have relays under the p/s front footwell this can cause real damage....Take heed!...... oh! a good sealent can be applied to the rubbers as well, not only to seal but to help them fit into place better.
This is the worst design fault i have found in the 124 models...
