I hate getting soaked fighting a hose and bucket washing my Mercs, and was moaning about the prospect to a chum. He told me about a new product to try called 'Miracle Dry Wash'.

"This product is sprayed on, rubbed in and left to dry for 2 minutes, then wiped off with another cloth, and your car is washed and polished in 20 minutes, not hours later" he said. I wondered if something could really be that good, but looking at his car (Porsche) felt it was worth a go.

I tried it this weekend and can't believe the finish and how easily I 'washed' and polished the car, absolutely incredible, an S class washed and polished in 25/30 minutes, brilliant on the alloys as well. I thoroughly commend this product to anyone with better things to do in life than get soaked and grubby for 2+ hours every Sunday morning.

EDIT: url removed

FOR SALE: Hose, bucket, sponge, chamois leather, wellies - FREE, buyer collects.

Not wet and dry.....dirt is grit and it must be disolved with water....dry cleaning would do if you wanted to spray the car after you finished...

Hey guys April 1 is coming......

Rubbing dry dirt cannot work, no matter what it says, it acts as an abrasive, might as well use Jif.........

Ths stuff is used by alot of mobile valeters and its been out for quite a few years. In fact someone that I used to work has a franchise and uses something similar - www.go-waterless.co.uk

There is a considerable time saving which is important if its your living and it suprisingly enough does seem to work very well.

According to my mate the secret is using proper terry towels to wipe the stuff off. The solution is supposed to lift the grit and dirt and coat it so it cant scratch the paintwork and my mates van is spotless with no fine scratches.

It still aint going anywhere near my merc though !!!

If i saved so much time what would i do on a sunday waiting for the lunch to cook ! There would be all those jobs to do around the house that I have skillfully managed to avoid all this time....

I quite enjoy washing my car too. Except when it rains just as I am halfway through the polishing.
I never bother with getting myself wet though. I just roll about in dust in my back garden. Dust baths are a much ignored avian pastime, we could learn a lot from our feathered friends. Just don't crap on my car- I'll kill you.

Spammage.

Indeed Gentlemen.

best way to dry wash is to drive into car park where local serbian resting mafia do car washes. Tell boss-serb "dragon" sent you and he'll do it for free.

instantly.

I'm an evil bitch though/

Do people here bother with car shampoo? I just use ASDA 12p a bottle washing up liquid. Seems to work better than the car shampoo that I was given as a christmas present by a mad aunt when I was 16 and rather a long way from owning a car.

dont use washing up liquid..it destroys the rubber seals round your windows and doors and wiper blades...it takes off the coating on your paint work too.....
a cheap car shampoo is good enough...or you can buy really expensive if you like but its all down to hard work in the end..the more effort you put in the better the results and the happier you feel.
