ignition barrel

Hi
This is quite common. The only way is to hacksaw the steering lock off and replace the whole thing. Try asking Andy or Dieselman on the Tec senction they may have a better way

Hello Piestore
If you are contemplating sawing off the lock...............
You could (as a last resort before reaching for the hacksaw) try shoving a reasonably sized flat screw driver in the slot, then turning it (with the help of mole/vice grips). Hopefully the lock barrel will turn with it.
This will require some mechanical unsympathy (you will have to break the barrel tumblers), but might allow you remove the barrel once in the number 2 position as the manual states :D .
I have personally never tried this. There may be is some clever engineering that stops this from working- but there is only one way to find out!

good luck

...or use a slide hammer to remove the tumblers and then turn it with your little finger
