Would have thought Lewis would be more appropriate, or that just me.

Jeesus!

I read the title and thought that Mr Potato Head had bought a Merc.

I was getting ready to sell up :)

I'm usually quite ambivalent about such things, but I honestly feel complete dismay about that news. I feel a letter to MB coming on.

To own a vehicle now being associated with this ignorant scouse no mark is now a serious concern to me. He exhibits no sense of sportsmanship on the playing field nor any sort of morality in his private life.

Leave the jug eared little fellow alone, he's doing alright for himself.

Are they going to do a limited edition for him? I'm thinking little wheels, extra large door mirrors and footballers wives special interior.
Should fly out of the dealerships.... :D

They`ve gwone Wayne twoo fwar fwor me:-?
The cars he is know to own or have owned include a £50,000 Cadillac Escalade, a type of vast 4x4 beloved of US rap stars, and a BMW X5. However, he is not always so fortunate in keeping them in one piece. His Escalade was in collision with a builder’s lorry in Cheshire in November 2004, while in May 2005 his X5 had an altercation with a middle-aged woman’s Nissan Primera in Stockport. Such antics have attracted the attention of the boys-in-blue. After this crash the striker was summonsed on a charge of driving without due care and attention. If he went to court he could face a maximum fine of £5,000 and a possible ban. The police also announced that "a 19-year-old man from Cheshire has been referred to the driver improvement scheme." – which is police-speak for saying they must have some more driving lessons.

I don't see why any footballer is appropriate marketing for a car, a race driver like hamilton yes. But have you seen MB's marketing of late, its as if they don't want you to buy their cars.

I think maybe the MB marketing team may be thinking of the up and coming buying public, Rooney isnt a wide boy..no ear jokes ere please..and he has talent..and he has street cred..and us old geezers aint gonna be making Mb any fortunes ..as for Hamilton..remember david Coultard, and that other great driver..wassisname oh yea button..

Does this mean that Audi are no longer sponsors of Man U?

Don't know how that deal works, but I remember reading that Audi sponsored Real Madrid and the deal was that the players all had to drive Audi to and from the ground. There was a bit of a kerfuffle and Beckham chose a Q7 and ticked every option box, adding about £30K to the price.

me thinks that if he had not been a football player he would have been actually stealing MB
