My 260E is fitted with a Webasto heater. I used it last winter & everything worked fine. This year it wont fire up. It does not seem to have any fuel supplied to it. I assume the small pipe to the front of the burner is the fuel supply but no fuel. I have tried blowing back through the pipe but it is solid.I would assume there is a pump somewhere to supply the fuel to the burner. Would anyone on the forum have any idea where the pump is or if anyone has a wiring diagram or any information on these systems I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

R W If you know of anybody in the Haulage Buisness they would be worth a chat to as most long distance lorries are fitted with Webasto or similar heaters (night Heaters) for the drivers to keep warm at night. you would be suprised how cold a truck cab gets at night!

Thanks 42864 & Watsone91.
I have found a website http://www.techwebasto.com/heater_main/technical_publications_germany/Workshop/97154A.pdf
It has been very helpfull. The problem seems to be a temp limiter/fuse that disconects power to the fuel pump if the heater overheats. I am in a former USSR country with my 124 & the trucks here are lucky to run never mind have cab heaters.I am due back to Uk near the end of the month & will try to track down a dealer to buy the limiter/fuse.Or maybe some truck companies in UK can advise on where to get the limiter.
Thanks again for your help.

I now have the Webasto heater working. It needed a new circulating pump & thermal fuse.
The Webasto heaters work wonderfully. Temperatures are -15 & all the car,s next to mine are covered in frost & ice in the mornings.I set the timer to activate the heater 45mins before I go out to work, this gives it time to de-frost the windows, the car interior is warmed & starting the engine, it is already heated to 60deg,so I have hot air immediatly.
Dont know why these are not used more on UK spec cars,or maybe they were an expensive option. But they really are great in the cold Russian winters.
