:-x had my wheels "refurbed" about 2 months ago. Nice alloys machine -finshed. They took 2 days to do now the lacquer is peeling off even though I had them put radii on the wheel not recess and other holes as malcolm suggested.

So now they have to do them again this time without lacquer which will need a wash down with some wd40 and a rag regularly.

What a pain in the neck. I dont have to pay but it's blinkin' inconvenient.

I'm stomping off now for a sulk :-(

So sorry to hear this, looking in on MB today, not one car with that finish any more, why not opt for a chrome paint finish instead.

Hi Malcolm, do you have a paint code for the chrome paint finish?

Hi MIW there is not one in the car code sense. Some manufactures have released some info on these finishes, it is often down to the range that the wheel refurbishers keep in stock, if you do a Google search wheel refinishers you will see the types of finish on offer, MB tend to use a blackish chrome, OK I think on a black car, could be too heavy on a silver one. In my opinion the nicest one is the one that Volvo have used for the last 10 years, they fooled me for 7 years until I damaged one.

I will try and find out what that is.
