1993. bodywork perfect. Part history 04/05. Nice interior except drivers seat bit ragged. Supposed 98K. Car drives nicely. But....oil dripping down under the fan. Nice and clean oil though. More like power steering fluid. No mayo under oil cap, no crap in coolant. No chain rattle and no smoke in exhaust. No oil leaks around head gasket. This is meant to be a weekend bit of a laff.

Ignore the price...i'm in Ireland...what else do I need to look for?

The oil is probably coming from where the timing cover meets the head.

looks nice alot of car for that price, w124 are very well made.

did you take it for a little drive, any rattles, squeaks!

It looks exactly like my old E200. They're a great car Magunky, and that looks like an nice one for the money. If you need a Merc specialist in Dublin gimmie a shout. I use a guy just off the SCR.

Check for rust at the top of the Mcpherson strut towers, under the wheelarches....also under the jacking point covers, particularly the rears.

The alloys corrode under the paint so check them carefully, they're pretty expensive to repair/replace.

The price looks expensive from a London perspective, have you looked at many others to get an idea if it is?

If you buy it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine....the performance in particular surprises many a "speed-Kevin".....
