Hi all,
Any known problems with water ingress in the W202 ('95) C class? We have a small lake in the boot under the N/S light cluster, where it slopes down behind the bumper (behind where the CD player is installed). I suspect a dodgy tail light seal, but any known weak points that can lead to this? (before I lock myself in the boot with a torch and my old man outside with the hosepipe).

the e30 bmws suffer with this and it gets in through the seal to the light clusters, but i had it on a sclass and it was the sunroof drain tubes came appart.

try a search on here, sure i read something about a similar problem.

Mine also suffers the same problem. It doesn't appear to occur all the time, so I've been pumping it out when necessary.

I'm almost of the opinion that the n/s underfloor compartment is for collecting leaking water.

Sorting it is on the list of things to do when time allows.

Looks like we'll be resealing the tail light cluster as a starting point then. Boot seal looks ok and the rest of the boot is dry. The only other thing I can think of would be the ariel. Will probably know more when we get the interior liner out and have a good look behind.
