What alternator do I have?.

My car is a 2001 W210 with 112000 on the clock,I need to change the regulator on the alternator!.I have 2 questions is the alternator a Bosch or a Valeo and on this model Eclass can I change the regulator without removing the alternator?.I know on some Mercedes models you can,I have searched the web but to no avail!,could anyone enlighten me,thanks in advance!.

The only way to know is to remove it.

They fitted three different alternators to your car,same as the 190 and 124.
